Barafundle Bay

This is an acrylic painting of the memory of a recent visit to Barafundle Bay.  My wife and I had never been there before so this time we went to West Wales we sought to visit this famed beach.  Our dog loved it as did we.

I really enjoyed creting this A3 sized painting.  It took a few hours and adding layer at a time enabled me to build up the detail and contrast of colour and tone.  I tried to make it a little impressionistic rather than give too much detail to stone walss or trees in the distance.

I hope to draw and paint scenes like this more and more.
