Watercolour and ink after Rob Adams

This was a new demonstration in a new art class yesterday (13/3/23).  I gave the students more freedom with this image.  It is truly amazing how different each persons rendition looks like.

I decided to make it more of summer colours with blue sky and green and brown mountains and trees etc.  I sketched this out firstly in graphite a very basic sketch.  Then I painted in the sky with wet into wet and added blue, yellow and red to mix those colours and just let the paint do its thing.  next I kept adding more washses and then as the paper was drying added more colour and foliage.

All the while I was adding pen and ink to the scene, this took two hours so I felt it was a session well spent in creativity and relaxation.
